Twelve o'clock in the middle of the night, a lot of rain it makes a storm, Shawn is wearing a black suit and hat, is walking around the church, he never have believed about one who anyone could see, but all the people need any hope even if just be the smallest hope. All the people need it...
All the people, well, a few persons from the street under their umbrellas, really. All that people are talking about non-sense things for Shawn, about how much will cost a new car? how much will cost to be married? how much... ? Everything, everything is overrated, but people don't understand it, they just get into the church, they tell some prayers and get out to see their family and talk about how much prayers they have to pray.
It makes him sick. He's fed up with all that. He feel that is just waste time for waste it. If people just know that we have only a bit of time and we are wasting it thinking about commons things... Shawn sighs and switch on a cigar. After all that things he's thinking about, he heard a noise, the steps of some people, maybe?
PD: Sorry for my bad english I will improve it!

Geoff wasn't a religious man but that hadn't stopped him from deciding to attend the mass ceremony tonight. He knew that chances were likely that he wasn't going to see or hear anything of great importance during the mass but he at least wanted the citizens of the city to see him there. They might be more willing to talk to an Englishman who was trying to fit in with the rest of them. Well, maybe 'fit in' wasn't the right phrase because his stark red uniform stood out among all of the darker and paler clothes of the rest of the congregation.
It was halfway through the mass that the storm began. What a stroke of good look for the British soldier! While some people had umbrellas to cover them for the walk home, the majority of people seemed to have come unprepared for the storm and, despite the late hour, seemed content to wait it out inside of the church. It would be a simple matter of finding someone who was willing to talk to him to help pass the time. He was in South Carolina for a reason and, so far, talking to one anti-slavery daughter of a plantation owner wasn't enough.
The brigadier's eyes scanned the crowd until they landed on a handsome young man, who was a few inches taller than himself, currenlty enjoying a smoke. Geoff made his way over there and offered an extended hand for a shake as he introduced himself. "Brigadier Geoffrey Edelman," he said. He was going to start this conversation off the right way, unlike the bad start he and Abigail had had just the other day.
OOC: Hope you don't mind me jumping in!

He was in his world, thinking about all that little things, watching people going nowhere and breathing the smell of the rain, the storm. Hearing the bells of the church and the voice of someone who is supposed to be the God word. Until the introducing of an unknow man that he don't ever see before.
-Nice to meet you, Sir. I am Shawn Shecter.
It was the only thing that he could say after the introducing, but if he don't say anything more, it would be really bored for two both. He was thinking for a while.
-So... Are you going to the church to see the ceremony?
"No, Shawn" Thought. "He is in the church for tell you a joke, are you serious?" Anyways, the theme it was started so... He just have to wait for the answer. That thing It was called feedback... But Shawn don't understand so much about it. It was the first time that he talk with a man so nearly, he just was really quiet to talk with somebody. But he trying hard to know how to keep a conversation, and he's gonna do that.
-Ehm... I am soldier, Sir. What's about you Mr.Edelman?
He tried to ask while he was trying to be "nice". Some kids were screaming 'cause they are playing something and it was really disgusting hear all that. When he was just a kid, his father taught him that this it wasn't nice at least near to a church. However, it was raining! Where are their parents? Are they mad?
